Access to the 2011 SF Dyke March

Please note: We are asking for a donation upon entering the park. However, ALL senior/disabled services are provided free of charge!

In Dolores Park
There will be a senior, accessible, and disabled non-smoking and scent-free area on the soccer field side of Dolores Park. Included in the Access area will be: an ADA port-a-potty, and awning for shade, some chairs and light refreshments. Please bring a chair if you can.

Parking/Shuttle/BART
The Convenient Parking lot at 7th & Harrison Streets is providing our parking needs again this year. Any Access/disabled lesbians wishing to park here and take our shuttle to Dolores Park are welcomed to do so. Please send an email to: access@thedykemarch.org to RSVP a space as there are only 30 parking spaces. LOOK for balloons and a sign designating this location at 7th & Harrison Streets. Shuttle service will be from 1pm to 4pm, running approx. every 20 minutes. Once the shuttle leaves the lot, it will make a stop at 16th & Hoff Streets to pick-up anyone using public transportation from BART or bus and then proceed to Dolores Park.

BART riders: please exit BART at the 16th & Mission, walk a short distance westward on 16th Street to Hoff Street/Alley, there you'll find a sandwich board with balloons attached marking the SHUTTLE pick-up for this location.

Senior/Disabled Cable Car
The senior/disabled Cable Car will arrive at Dolores & 19th Streets around 5:30pm to pick up ONLY senior/disabled lesbians who cannot walk the length of the March. All family and friends are asked to walk along side. (We're looking for volunteers to be 'wheel monitors', if you'd like to volunteer, please send an email to: access@thedykemarch.org and thank you!). PLEASE NOTE: NO MOTORIZED VEHICLES WILL BE ALLOWED ON THE CABLE CAR FOR SAFETY REASONS — NO EXCEPTIONS.

Senior/Disabled Viewing Stand
Sha'ar Zahav at 16th & Dolores is providing this space for our Access / disabled lesbians who wish to watch the MARCH from this location. All are welcomed to either walk from the park, be dropped off by the shuttle or ride the Cable Car and get off here, where you'll be able to sit, enjoy some refreshments and have use of an ADA port-a-potty and watch as the March proceeds to Noe & Market where our end party will be.
